Universal Hazardous Waste

The EPA is empowered to regulate hazardous waste from cradle to grave per the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). This statute establishes standards for the management of hazardous waste as well as its generation, transportation, treatment, storage, and disposal. In addition, RCRA establishes a framework for non-hazardous solid waste management. Proper management of universal waste helps prevent releases to the environment while concurrently promoting recycling or reuse.

FIG Environmental provides inspection for Universal Hazardous Waste and can provide an inventory for your site. This inspection is typically paired with an Asbestos or Lead building survey prior to a building renovation or demolition.  If you have concerns regarding universal hazardous waste, whether for the private or public sector, and have questions regarding your needs for an inventory, please contact us or send in a request for a callback to discuss your concern.
